Attached box for holding delivery bags is a functional feature you don't get to see in very many places. We, in India, do have such British type post box in some places.
It is very attractive. All that's needed is an adjacent bench so you can sit there and write letters and toss them in as you complete them.

There seem to be fewer post boxes each year in my area of California. It's getting so I get excited when I see on that's not in front of the post office or the county court.
