This is actually a Chinese New Year linen-finished postcard but the painting holds all the promise of spring with the combination of plum blossom and swallows.  I look forward to both being with us soon.

A beautiful postcard!
Always love the nature-loving Chinese drawing/painting style.

Here in NL blossom comes in spring, but as far as I know swallows, in our more northern country, arrive in summer (there even is a saying: 'one swallow doesn't yet make/mean summer' :-) ).
Have a great weekend!

So lovely! We still have snow on the ground here... Longing for a bit of outdoors colour!

Such a high-defined scan of the linen postcard -- beautiful! I was in Korea and I saw a set of postcards with a similar design to this ... it was tough deciding which ones to keep for myself and which ones to send to friends, so I ended up buying 3 sets.

Thanks for sharing this card. Have a nice week ahead, Joy!
