become one. (The Shrek postal cancel covering this US stamp of two love hearts almost makes it a differently themed stamp). Both this stamp and
this one were both designed by Michael Osborne who was so enthused by the theme he presented lots of designs ideas for the 'Love' theme to the US Postal Service (see here) but there were no flowers. No problem the US Post always comes up with flowers on stamps
whether it is a bouquet of garden flowers like this designed by Richard Sheaff or
this pretty bouquet of white lilacs and pink roses, a reproduction of a chromolithograph probably printed in German circa 1880-1890, the artist and engraver unknown. An entry to Viridian Postcard's Sunday Stamps on the theme of Valentines Day and Love

Great selection of stamps, once again gotta love Finland! GB is obviously not so romantic as I couldn't think of many choices for the theme. I forgot to say last week, how much I like your header photo!
I love the Shrek and Donkey canceller - they are a reminder that love does not have to be romantic ^_~ All of Michael Osborne's ideas are great; very bright and colourful. I think stamps should always be colourful - lately SAPO is coming out with horrible old dull designs!
I like the last stamp in particula - and I don't even remember it! Finland's stamps is great, as many of theirs are. Thanks for participating.
Thanks for the link to the Art of the Stamp exhibit. I hadn't seen that before.
I also enjoyed the Art of Stamp exhibit.
(and found some love at the US Postal Service)
Love the candy sweethearts, and Shrek and Donkey certainly had a different sort of love/hate relationship!
I love the one with the candy hearts - I used to eat them alot when I was a kid. They are still sold today but I think they taste differently from those of my childhood...
I am so impressed that you found so many, lovely ones too! I really struggled.
