I am sorry to hear that some of the butterfly populations are declining.
Impressive images and information!
Butterflies are such a lovely choice for stamps but with your description of the woolly bears, I wonder why there aren't more caterpillars.
Butterfly populations seem to be declining everywhere. I've even noticed that in my own backyard over the last decade. Those are beautiful stamps. I particularly like the tiger moth, as people tend to discount moths and prefer butterflies. I think of them as night butterflies.
How can butterflies be so colourful?!?
